SEVEN SERBS ARRESTED FOR CRIMES AGAINST BOSNIAKS AND CROATS IN THE AREA OF DONJI VAKUF

Members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested several people in the Banja Luka area on the orders of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina for crimes against Bosniak and Croat victims in the Donji Vakuf area in the spring and summer of 1992.

According to the Prosecution, several people are under investigation on suspicion of committing crimes against humanity as members of the Republika Srpska Army (VRS) in the spring and summer of 1992, and SIPA officers located, identified and identified them in the Banja Luka area. arrested.
– “They are charged with participating in the illegal detention of about 150 victims, Bosniak and Croat civilians, over whom they committed torture, ill-treatment, beatings, inhumane treatment, infliction of bodily and mental injuries, resulting in the death of several people, and permanent and severe physical and mental injuries to a large number of detainees, ”the Prosecution said in a statement.

The suspects will be handed over to the acting prosecutor within the legal deadline, as added by the Prosecutor’s Office, in compliance with the security measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, who will examine them and then make a decision on further activities in the case.
