Joachim Schmidt and member of the Commission for preservation of the national monuments of BiH Amra Hadzimuhamedovic signed the agreement on financing of the project â€œReconstruction, restoration and conservation of the mosque of Ali-beg Kapetanovic in Vitina, Ljubuskiâ€ in Sarajevo on Tuesday. The contract is worth 96.754,90 KM. “Restoration of this monument which was destroyed during the war represents another step towards preservation of the European heritage in BiH”, Hadzimuhamedovic said. Ambassador Joachim Schmidt pointed out the significance of the preservation of cultural heritage and identity for every country and expressed German support to the tradition of coexistence in BiH and reconciliation of people in parts where the projects are being realized. Germany ensured means for restoration of church of the Vozuca, Zavidovici municipality. Representatives of the Islamic Community in BiH were also present at signing of the agreement.
