SARAJEVO, May 12 (FENA) – Representatives of BiH Parliamentary Assembly and company Uniongradnja from Sarajevo signed an agreement on Monday on the construction works on the building’s façade worth 3.486.490 KM.
About 80% of funds for reconstruction was secured by the Kingdom of Norway while the rest will be covered from the BiH institutions budget.
It is expected for the reconstruction of façade to take about six months.
BiH Parliament’s building was opened in 1980 and this will be the first major reconstruction after the war in BiH.
Level of damages on the façade is such that it threatens the security of employees and guests who visit the building.
Norway’s donation after the reconstruction of the grand hall is a second major funding aid provided for BiH Parliament’s building by this friendly country.
Announcement was that until the end of the year, the Parliament’s square should also be reconstructed which should present a true BiH square and live up to squares in other European cities.
