SARAJEVO, May 12 (FENA) – BIH Deputy Minister of Security Mije Kresic opened on Monday a two week course in the segment of security policies for representatives of state institutions, economy and NGO sector which are included in the implementation of security policies.
Kresic reminded that BIH three years ago adopted the document “Security Policy in BiH†which defines elements, carriers, challenges and risks of the security policy and defines individual policies (defense, financial, social, etc.). BiH Council of Ministers formed an interdepartmental work group which should complete the training in the segment of security policy.
He stated that the commitment is to inform state officials and the public about this document.
“We want to make this document completely transparent and that is none of the basic tasks of this courseâ€, stated Kresic.
H also added that the police are only a small part of the security policy.
“There are different stands and opinions when it comes to this segment. Police reform has begun and this process shall lastâ€, added Kresic and pointed out that the security system is already in power in BiH.
“Police is a small part of this system. Police reform is temporarily out of the picture but it will return and police shall be completely reformed whether some like it or not. Total situation in BiH and the regions as well as the cooperation with the EU shall condition this police reformâ€, added Kresic.
