Peter Handke attends the funural of Serbian war criminal Balkans butcher Slobodan Milosevic, 2006.

By Mustafa Ceric, Ph.D.
Grand Mufti Emeritus of Bosnia: The only recovery from this shame is stripping this Nobel Prize form Handke’s hands.
Is the Handke’s win of “Shame Prize” just one more dark day in human history or is this win of his just a clear message to the monstrous minds around the world that the crime against humanity “Holocaust & Genocide” pays off?

It is both: a black day of the noble idea of Nobel Prize for literature and a bad signal to bad people to do bad things to innocent people around the world. Even worse than that it would be if the Nobel Prize Committee doesn’t realize that to award a person who does not have feeling for the victims of Genocide is nothing but an evil in itself. This is exactly the attitude of Anders Behring Breivik who would kill once again 77 young boys and girls, whom he killed in Oslo and on Utøya.

Are people in the Nobel Prize aware that by awarding Handke the “Shame Prize” for Literature this year it loses its reputation and credibility of promoting good humanity? The victims of Genocide in Bosnia well survive this insult from the Noble Prize, but the Nobel Prize will not recover form this shameful act before decent, truth loving, peace promoting and heart feeling people unless they denounce it loudly and clearly that those who have sympathy with the war criminals against the feeling of their victims do not belong to a civilized humanity. And, of course, they do not deserve the Nobel Prize no matter of their art of anything.

It is petty for the Nobel Prize to go down to this low of the lowest degradation by awarding the denier of Serbian Genocide in the face of truth and justice, which was delivered by the International Court of Justice in Den Haag.

The only recovery from this shame is stripping this Nobel Prize form Handke’s hands.
