Police have stepped up their activities after a series of ethnically motivated incidents between Mostar’s Croats and Bosniaks.
Local police in this Bosnian town said that the incidents took place during the past four days.
On Friday in downtown Mostar, a large group of Croat students severely beat Azer Medić, 16.
Police believe that the assault came as retaliation for the Nov. 19 incident, when a school competition in Kantarevac turned into a mass fistfight between Croat and Bosniak students.
Medić has been hospitalized, while five of his attackers, all Croats, have been detained, police said.
