SARAJEVO, May 21 (FENA) â€“ Head of the Institute for the research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law, Prof. Smail Cekic was nominated for this yearâ€™s European award handed by the European Society â€œSocial Politics and Education Communityâ€ in Eschweiler, Germany for social engagement and contribution, stated the University of Sarajevo. The awarding ceremony will take place on October 3 in Eschweiler.
European Society â€œSocial Politics and Education Communityâ€ every calendar year marks with a culture from one European country. This 2008, thanks to the engagement and work of the president of Bosnian Culture Center in Aachen, Dino Gegic is dedicated to BiH.
October 3 was chosen for the awarding ceremony as the date of the unification of Germany which is a date of huge importance for the whole of Europe. This underlines the importance of unified and joint Europe.
