Bosnian President Haris Silajdzic Monday expressed concern over the break in the peace process between Pakistan and India in the wake of the Mumbai terrorists’ attacks and also called for restraint on both sides in order to ensure peace and security in South Asia.
In a statement issued from Bosnia, the Bosnian President while calling for joint action and cooperation for defeating terrorism, appreciated the steps taken by Pakistan in investigating the Mumbai attacks after provision of dossier by India.
Silajdzic further said that both India and Pakistan have suffered terrorists’ attacks.
The Bosnian President accordingly called upon both countries to cooperate in the arrest and punishment of the perpetrators of the crimes through joint investigation.
He reiterated that for lasting peace in the region both countries need to continue their dialogue with the aim of resolving all outstanding issues including Kashmir.
