The Bosnian Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Vilim Primorac was in China from September 23 to 28, for the second meeting of the joint commission for trade and economic cooperation between Bosnia and China.
In the Chinese capital Beijing, Primorac talked with China’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade about the interest of the Chinese investors in Bosnia, and about furthering cooperation between the two countries. The commission last met in 2001 in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo.
The trade exchange between Bosnia and China in the first six months of 2008 amounted to USD 260 million. It was decided that the commission would meet annually from now on.
The Chinese are very interested in Bosnia’s energy, transport, wood processing, auto and IT industries.
